Juan Kidd serves as the Director of Operations & Strategic Growth at Thuma Mina Teaching. He brings more than 15 years of experience in education, spanning classroom teaching, senior school leadership, campus operations, governance, staff leadership and strategic implementation.

Juan is deeply passionate about education in South Africa. Throughout his career, he has taught and led in some of the country’s most privileged school environments, as well as in some of its most challenging and under-resourced contexts. These experiences have strengthened his conviction that quality education should not depend on a learner’s postcode, income level or school infrastructure. At Thuma Mina Teaching, Juan helps strengthen systems, operations and growth strategies that allow TMT to scale its impact. He is especially drawn to the heart of Thuma Mina’s mission: sending world-class teaching to where it is needed most and contributing to meaningful change in a country still shaped by significant educational inequality.
